Biography

The Hon. John S. Meyer is a judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Pete Wilson on September 29, 1995, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Kevin Midlam.

Meyer earned a B.A. from Muhlenberg College in 1962. He then received a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh Law School in 1965.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Meyer was a partner at Knutson & Meyer, where he practiced from 1969 to 1995.

His memberships have included the San Diego Bar Association, the Foothills Bar Association, and the San Diego Trial Lawyers Association.
