Biography

The Hon. John P. Vander Feer is a judge for the Superior Court of San Bernardino County in California. He was initially appointed to the Municipal Court of San Bernardino County by former governor Pete Wilson in 1998. A few months later, he was elevated to the Superior Court as a result of court consolidation.

Vander Feer earned a B.A. in history from Point Loma College in 1985. He then completed a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1989.

He began his legal career as a deputy district attorney with the Office of the District Attorney of San Bernardino County. During his nine-year tenure there, he was assigned to Victorville and Barstow.

He was a recipient of the Kaufman-Campbell Award from the San Bernardino County Bar Association.

Vander Feer was born and raised on a dairy farm in Upland, California.
