Biography

The Hon. John Kennedy Stewart is a judge for the Superior Court of San Francisco County in California. He was appointed by former governor Gray Davis on December 28, 2000.

Stewart earned a bachelor’s degree from Denison University. He then received a J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Before his appointment to the bench, Stewart devoted the 35 years of his legal career to Carroll, Burdick, and McDonough. While at the firm, Stewart worked as a civil litigator, handling product liability, insurance, and excessive force cases.
