Biography

The Hon. Henry J. Hall is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2009 by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He is a registered Democrat.

Judge Hall received his B.A. from the University of Southern California. He went on to earn his J.D. Loyola Law School in 1976.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Hall was elected to serve as a court commissioner for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2007.

Before becoming a commissioner, Hall was head deputy alternate public defender for the Los Angeles County Alternate Public Defender's Office. He came to the Alternate Public Defender's Office after serving 24 years as a deputy public defender for the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office starting in 1977.
