The Hon. Gus Gomez is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was elected to the bench in 2004 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Richard Hubbell.
Judge Gomez received his B.A. from Stanford University in 1986. He went on to earn his J.D. from Stanford University School of Law in 1990.
Prior to winning the election to the Superior Court in 2004, Gomez served as a deputy attorney general with the California Department of Justices' Office of the Attorney General.
His legal career also included working with the D.A.'s office as part of an exchange program where Gomez served as a deputy district attorney from May to June in 1994.
Judge Gomez also served as the former Mayor of Glendale, California from 2001 to 2002.
