The Hon. Gia G. Bosley is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench in 2017 by former governor Jerry Brown.
She is registered without party preference.
Judge Bosley received her B.A. from Howard University in 1986. She went on to earn her J.D. from Whittier College School of Law in 1988.
After graduating from law school, Bosley began her legal career as an attorney at Hill, Genson, Even, Crandall, and Wade in 1989. Two years later she would work as an attorney for the law firms of Smith and Smith, as well as Barry Bartholomew and Associates. Then, in 1992, Bosley became a sole practitioner, where she would remain until 1999 when she joined the law firm of John Hill and Associates as an attorney.
That same year, Bosley left the private arena to become deputy trial counsel for the State Bar of California, a position she would hold for three years.
In 2006, Bosley became a deputy public defender at the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office, where she would remain until her appointment to the Superior Court in 2017.
