Biography

The Hon. Eugenia A. Eyherabide is a judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County in California. She was appointed by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2006, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. William C. Pate.

Eyherabide earned a bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University. She then received a J.D. from the University of Santa Clara, School of Law.

She began her legal career as an assistant U.S. Attorney with the Office of the United States Attorney in Washington, D.C. in 1992. Then, in 1995, she joined the Office of the District Attorney of San Diego County as a deputy district attorney. She headed the Office of Family Protection, eventually rising to assistant chief in the central pretrial unit.

She held this position at the time of her appointment to the bench.

She is registered as a Republican.
