Biography

The Hon. Debra Harris is a judge for the Superior Court of San Bernardino County in California. She was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2009, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Bert Swift.

Harris earned a B.S.L. from Western State College of Law. She then continued her studies there, eventually completing a J.D.

She began her legal career in 1994. She joined the Office of the Public Defender of San Bernardino County as a deputy public defender, advancing to chief deputy public defender in 2009.

Harris was a resident of Victorville, California at the time of her appointment.

She is registered as a Republican.
