Biography

The Hon. David L. Belz is a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He was appointed in March 2009 by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, filling a vacancy created by the conversion of a court commissioner position.

Belz earned a B.S. from California State University, Fullerton and a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law.

From 1976 to 1981, Belz worked with the Law Offices of Giles, Callahan, McCune, Willis & Edwards, where he served as an associate and a partner. He then worked as a partner and managing attorney for the Law Offices of Landgren and Belz from 1981 to 1995. He spent the next three years working as a sole practitioner before becoming a partner for the Law Offices of Kuhn & Belz in 1998.
