Biography

The Hon. David A. Williams is a judge for the Superior Court of San Bernardino County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Gray Davis in 2003, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Joseph Johnston.

Williams earned a B.S. from the University of Southern California. He then completed a J.D. from Whittier College of Law.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Williams was an associate at Bell, Orrock & Watase from 1988 to 2003. During his fifteen-year tenure there, he specialized in insurance defense, handling personal injury, construction defect, premises liability, and wrongful termination cases. He also worked as general counsel for the California Thoroughbred Horseman’s Foundation from 1983 to 2000.
