Biography

The Hon. Charles F. Haines is a judge for the Superior Court of San Francisco County in California. He was appointed by former governor Gray Davis in 2001, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of Judge William Cahill.

Haines earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University. He then received a J.D. from Tulane University.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Haines served as a deputy district attorney with the Office of the District Attorney of San Francisco County for twenty years.

Haines was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
