Biography

The Hon. Carrie A. Zepeda is a judge for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. She was appointed to the bench by former governor Gray Davis in 2003, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Daniel Creed.

Zepeda earned a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. She then completed a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

She began her legal career as a research attorney for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in 1990. Two years later, she joined the Office of County Counsel of Santa Clara, where she served as deputy county counsel for the next eleven years.

Then, in 2003, she left the public sector to start her own private practice as a sole practitioner.
