The Hon. Benjamin G. Davidian is a judge for the Sacramento County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2009 by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Gerald Bakarich (Ret.).
He is a registered Republican.
Judge Davidian received his B.S. from the University of Utah. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Outside of the bench, Davidian spent his entire legal career in private practice. He started out as an associate at the San Francisco law firm of Bronson, Bronson, and McKinnon LLP in 1980. A year later he would join the law firm of Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould, and Birney LLP, where he worked as an associate and partner for the firm beginning in 1981. He would also partner for Bell, McAndrews, Hiltachk, and Davidian LLP for four years beginning in 2000, and for Sweeney, Davidian, and Green in 2004. Then, in 2005, he entered into solo practice, where he would remain until his appointment to the bench four years later.
While on the bench, Judge Davidian has served as a Supervising Civil Settlement Conference judge at the Sacramento Hall of Justice.
