Biography

The Hon. Barbara Marie Scheper is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench by former governor Gray Davis in 2001.

Judge Scheper received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1982. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame in 1985.

Prior to her appointment to the Superior Court, Scheper served as an assistant inspector general for the Los Angeles Police Commissions' Office of the Inspector General.

She had also served as an attorney for the Los Angeles U.S. Attorney's Office.

During her time on the Superior Court, Judge Scheper served as a panelist for the Continuing Legal Education Center.
