Biography

The Hon. Barbara Ann Meiers is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She originally presided over the Municipal Court beginning in 1981.

Judge Meiers received her B.A. from Oberlin College in 1964. She went on to earn her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1968.

Prior to becoming a Municipal Court Judge, Meiers served as an assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Attorney's Office, where she helped prosecute felony cases involving narcotics, counterfeiting, as well as white-collar crimes.
