Biography

The Hon. Armando G. Cuellar, Jr. is a judge of the Superior Court of Alameda County in California. He was appointed in December 2010 by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to fill a newly created seat. Cuellar Jr. won the primary election on June 5, 2018. Cuellar received his undergraduate degree from Trinity College and his J.D. from John F. Kennedy University School of Law. After receiving his law degree, Cuellar was an attorney for the Office of the General Regional Attorney. In 1985, he became a deputy district attorney for the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. He served in this position until joining the superior court in 2010.
