Biography

The Hon. Arlene T. Borick (Ret.) served as a commissioner for the Superior Court of San Francisco County in California. She was appointed to the position in September 1999, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of former commissioner Ralph Flageollet.

Borick earned a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1984.

She began her legal career as a legal research assistant for the Superior Court of San Francisco County. One year later, she joined Kaplan, Russin, & Vecchi as an associate. Then, in 1987, she returned to the Superior Court of San Francisco County, where she worked as a staff attorney for a three-year state pilot project to eradicate civil case backlogs.
