The Hon. Anthony R. Villalobos is a judge for the Riverside County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2008.

Judge Villalobos received his B.A. from Stanford University. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
After law school, Villalobos interned for the San Diego City Attorney's Office. After completing his internship, he joined the Law Office of Mario Rodriguez in the Coachella Valley, where he worked as an associate for three years. While there, Villalobos practiced in the areas of civil, bankruptcy, probate and family law.
Then, in 1999, Villalobos became a deputy district attorney with the Riverside County District Attorney's Office. During his time there, he would be assigned to the Juvenile Division. In that role, Villalobos would be recognized for his work with the Youth Accountability Teams in the Coachella Valley. He remained with the D.A.'s office until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2008.
While on the bench, Judge Villalobos has presided over a criminal master calendar, a family law calendar and a general trials calendar.
Judge Villalobos was born and raised in California. His parents immigrated to the United States when they were young and both worked in grape vineyards in the Coachella Valley while Villalobos was growing up. During his teenage years, Villalobos suffered from juvenile diabetes and also survived a gunshot wound to the head. Judge Villalobos, who was afforded the opportunity to travel abroad to London during law school, has also visited Russia, China, Egypt, and India.
