The Hon. Amy K. Guerra is a judge for the Superior Court of Fresno County, California. On October 11, 2018, she was appointed by California Governor Jerry Brown to fill the vacant seat left by the elevation of Judge Mark W. Snauffer to the Court of Appeal.
Judge Guerra earned her B.A. in cultural anthropology from California State University, Fresno and her J.D. from San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis, California.
In 2007, following law school, she became an associate at the alternate defense law firm Richard Ciummo and Associates. In 2014 she was promoted to the chief defense attorney.
Formerly she served on Mayor Lee Brand’s Citizens’ Public Safety Advisory Board.
Guerra is a Democrat.
