The Hon. William P. Barry (Ret.) was a judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California. He retired from the bench at the beginning of 2018. The Hon. Maria Puente-Porras filled his vacancy.
Barry received his B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1970. He went on to earn his J.D. from the Catholic University of America in 1978. While in law school, Barry served as the production editor of the University's Law Review.
His legal career includes practicing at BakerHostetler LLP, where he specialized in admiralty law and maritime, environmental, and civil litigation.
Barry's memberships included the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, and the Maritime Law Association of the United States.
He was born in Bethesda, Maryland.
