The Hon. William N. Sterling is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Gray Davis in October of 2001. He filled a vacancy caused by the elevation of Kathryn Doi Todd to the Court of Appeals.
Judge Sterling received his B.A. from Temple University in 1970. He went on to earn his J.D. from New York University in 1973.
Sterling practiced for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office as an assistant city attorney prior to his appointment to the Superior Court in 2001.
