The Hon. William L. Sadler is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown in 2016. He filled the vacancy created by the death of Jan A. Pluim.
He is a registered Democrat.
Judge Sadler received his B.A. from California State University, Fullerton. He went on to earn his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1987.
Sadler joined the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office in 1988 and served as a deputy public defender for 25 years. In 2014 he was elected to a court commissioner position for the Los Angeles County Superior Court and was serving in that capacity at the time of his appointment to the bench in 2016.
