Download Hon. Fahey ReportThe Hon. William F. Fahey is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Pete Wilson in 1998. He filled the vacancy created by the elevation of the late Daniel Curry to the Court of Appeal.
Judge Fahey received his B.S. from the University of Southern California in 1973. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 1976.
After graduating from law school, Fahey clerked two years for Laughlin E. Waters with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Over the course of his legal career, Judge Fahey served as an assistant U.S. Attorney for the Department of Justice, Central District of California. He would later go on to form the Los Angeles law firm Smalz, Anderson, and Fahey where he specialized in complex civil litigation. At the time of his appointment to the Superior Court, he was serving as a partner for the firm Hanna and Morton.
