Biography

William D. Kephart (Ret.) was a judge for the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada. He was elected to the bench in 2015. Kephart lost his bid for re-election in 2020.

He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He went on to earn a J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Kephart worked as a deputy district attorney with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for more than twenty years.

Prior to his election to the bench, he had served as a justice of the peace with the Las Vegas Justice Court for four years.
