The Hon. Wendy W. Y. Chang is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench in 2018 by former governor Jerry Brown. She filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Frank J. Johnson (Ret.).

She is a registered Democrat.

Judge Chang received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. She went on to earn her J.D. from Loyola Law School.

Chang began her legal career practicing as an associate at the law firms of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman, and Dicker LLP in 1996, for Selman Breitman LLP in 1997, and for Baker, Keener, and Nahra from 1998 to 2003. She joined Manatt, Phelps, and Phillips LLP, where she practiced as a senior associate until 2004. Chang then joined the Los Angeles office of Hinshaw and Culbertson LLP, where she practiced first as a senior associate until 2008 when she was made a partner. During her time there, she practiced ethics law and also served as an advisor to the State Bar of California's Commission for the Revision of the Rules of Professional Conduct. She remained with Hinshaw until her appointment to the Superior Court in 2018.

Her other professional organizations have included the State Bar of California's Standing Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct, the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, the National Association of Women Lawyers, the Asian Pacific American Affinity Network, and the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association.
