The Hon. Timothy J. McCoy is a judge for the Nueces County Court at Law No. 5 in Texas. He was elected to the bench in 2014 and re-elected in 2018.
Prior to his election, McCoy worked as an attorney in private practice, specializing in juvenile cases involving abuse and neglect.
McCoy earned a B.A. in government from the University of Texas at Austin. Then, in 2003, he completed a J.D. at South Texas College of Law.
His memberships have included the Texas Bar Foundation, the Corpus Christi Bar Association, and the Texas Juvenile Justice Advisory Board.
Born in Victoria, McCoy moved to Corpus Christi when he was eight years old. He graduated from Richard King High School in 1996.
He is registered as a Republican.
