Judge Tiffany L. Haertling - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Tiffany L. Haertling is a judge for the 442nd District Court in Denton County, Texas. She was appointed to the bench by former Governor Rick Perry in 2015.

Haertling has played an instrumental in the creation of the county's first Family Drug Court.

Prior to her appointment, Haertling worked as a partner at Holmes, Diggs & Eames, a position she held for more than ten years.

Haertling earned a bachelor's degree from Arizona State University. She then completed a J.D. at Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law in 1993. Haertling is Board Certified in Family Law and Child Protection Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

She has served as president of the Denton County Bar Association, secretary of the Denton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, and chairwoman of Denton County Adoption Day and the Denton County MHMR Center Board of Trustees. She has also been an active volunteer at Liberty Christian School.

Haertling is registered as a Republican.
