The Hon. Thomas S. Clark is a judge for the Superior Court of Kern County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2010, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. L. Bryce Chase.
Clark earned a B.A. from the University of Southern California. He then continued his studies at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he received a J.D.
He began his legal career as an attorney with Income Equities Corporation in 1973. He left the company two years later, accepting a position as a deputy district attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Kern County.
Then, in 1978, he returned to the private sector, this time working as an attorney in private practice. He practiced with the various incarnations of Arrache, Clark and Potter, rising through the ranks to become a senior partner in 1985.
Clark was born and raised in Bakersfield. He graduated from Garces High School in 1965.
He is registered as a Republican.
