The Hon. Terrill (“Terry”) J. LaRue (Ret.) served as a judge for the 7th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. LaRue was elected to the bench on November 5, 2002, and re-elected in 2008. He retired when his second term expired on January 5, 2015.
The 7th Judicial Circuit encompasses Flagler County, Putnam County, St. Johns County, and Volusia County. LaRue held assignments in Volusia County and Putnam County, presiding over cases in the Juvenile Division.
Prior to his election, LaRue worked as an attorney in private practice for nearly thirty years.
LaRue earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1968 and completed his J.D. at Wayne State University Law School in 1972. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1972 and the State Bar of Michigan in 1974.
His memberships have included the Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
