The Hon. Terrence R. Nealon is a judge for the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Tom Ridge in 1998.
Nealon earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton in 1981. He then completed a J.D. at Penn State Dickinson Law in 1984.
After graduating from law school, Nealon entered into private practice. He started as an associate at Thomas J. Foley, Jr. & Associates. Then, in 1989, he became a principal at Foley, McLane, Nealon, Foley & McDonald. He worked in that capacity until his appointment to the bench.
His memberships have included the American Bar Association, the Lackawanna County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. He also sat on the Board of Governors of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (president), the Education Committee of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges (co-chair), and the Professional Negligence Section of the American Trial Lawyers Association.
He is registered as a Democrat.
