The Hon. Steven P. Sanora (Ret.) was a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2002 by former Governor Gray Davis. Sanora received his bachelor's degree from California State University, Los Angeles. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
Prior to his appointment to the bench, Sanora was serving as a court commissioner for the Superior Court. He had previously served as a commissioner for the Rio Hondo Municipal Court starting in 1992 and was ultimately elevated to the Superior Court in 2000, as a result of the court's unification.
Before that, Sanora was a criminal defense attorney in private practice from 1975 to 1992.
