The Hon. Stephen P. Pfahler is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He succeeded Richard Kolostian in his appointment to the bench by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2006.

He is a registered Republican.

Judge Pfahler received his B.S. in business from the University of Southern California in 1987 and went on to earn his J.D. from USC Gould School of Law in 1990.

After law school, Pfahler joined the law firm of Adams, Duque, and Hazeltine as an associate. Then in 1995, he joined the law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene, and MacRae. During that time, Judge Pfahler also served as the police commissioner for the City of Calabasas. From 2000-2004, he served as the city attorney for the cities of South Pasadena (2003) and Rolling Hills Estates (2004) and was also the assistant city attorney for the City of Calabasas (2003). In 2000, Judge Pfahler became a partner at the law firm Bannan, Green, Frank, and Terzian and remained there until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2006.

During his time on the Superior Court, he has presided over civil and criminal cases.

While serving as a judge for the Superior Court, Pfahler has also taught Public Policy & Law at the USC Price School of Public Policy.
