View Judge DashboardThe Hon. Stephen M. Moloney is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on July 6, 2009.
He is a registered Republican.
Judge Moloney received his B.S. from Santa Clara University in 1971. He went on to earn his J.D. from Santa Clara Law School in 1975.
After graduating from law school, he became an associate at the law firm of Gilbert, Kelly, Crowley, and Jennett in 1975. He was named a partner for the firm in 1985 and remained in that capacity until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2009.
He presided over the Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries divorce case in 2012.
His memberships have included the American Board of Trial Advocates and the past-president of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.
