Hon. Sosi C. Vogt is a judge for the Madera County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the seat by Governor Gavin Newsom in 2021, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Joseph A. Soldani (Ret.).
Prior to her appointment, Vogt presided as a commissioner for the Superior Court in Madera County since 2020. She joined the bench after briefly serving as appointed counsel at Madera Alternate Defense (2019).
Vogt also spent time in both private and corporate practice. Her private practice included Wapner Jones PC (2016 to 2018), the Sawl Law Group (2009 to 2015), and Richard A. Ciummo & Associates (1996 to 1998). Vogt was also corporate counsel and a corporate secretary in the American Division at Anderson Clayton Queensland Cotton (2001 to 2003).
In the public sector, she was a contract attorney with the Fresno County Public Defender’s Office (2003 to 2009) and a deputy district attorney with the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office (1998 to 2001).
Vogt received a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fresno. She went on to complete a J.D. at San Joaquin College of Law in 1995. Vogt was admitted to practice in California in 1996.
At the time of her appointment, she resided in Fresno, California.
She is registered as a Republican.
