The Hon. Scott D. Patton is a judge for the Alameda County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Jerry Brown in 2012. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Beverly Daniels-Greenberg (Ret.).
He is a registered Democrat.
Judge Patton received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While in law school, Patton served a clerkship at the California Department of Justice's Office of the Attorney General.
After law school, Patton would work as a deputy district attorney for the Alameda County District Attorney's Office from 1990 until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2012. During his tenure there, Patton was assigned to the D.A.'s Consumer Fraud Division, where he helped prosecute false and deceptive advertising claims.
While on the bench, Judge Patton has presided over a criminal trial calendar.
Away from the bench, Judge Patton enjoys golfing, skiing and browse the local farmers market.
