Biography

The Hon. Samuel T. McAdam is a judge for the Yolo County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2008.

He is a registered Republican.

Judge McAdam graduated with his B.A. in political science from Stanford University. He also received his M.P.P. in public policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

Prior to his appointment to the Superior Court, McAdam was a partner at the law firm Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where he specialized in employment law.

During his time on the bench, Judge McAdam was elected to serve as the Presiding Judge of the Court in 2019. He has also presided over every court calendar including the criminal, family, and juvenile dependency calendars.

He has also taught employment law as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
