The Hon. Roy S. Mahon is a justice for the Nassau County Supreme Court in the Tenth Judicial District of New York. Mahon was initially elected to the Nassau County District Court in 1991. He then joined the Nassau County Supreme Court after an election in 1998.
Mahon earned a B.A. from St. John’s University in 1974. He then completed a J.D. at Fordham University School of Law in 1977.
He began his legal career as a deputy county attorney in the Office of the Nassau County Attorney in 1978. He served there until his election to the bench, rising through the ranks to become a deputy bureau chief in 1987.
His memberships have included the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. He has also served as president of the New York State District Court Judges Association and as counsel for the State of New York Police Juvenile Officer Association.
Mahon is registered as a Republican.
