Biography

The Hon. Ronald Brad Goodwin is a judge of the 391st District Court of Tom Green County. He was elected to the bench seat in 2016.
Before pursuing a legal career, Goodwin graduated with a B.A. from Baylor University in 1989. He then went on to earn his J.D. in 1992 from Tulsa University School of Law.
After earning his law degree, Goodwin worked as a felony prosecutor for the El Paso District Attorneys Office. He then joined his father as a partner at Goodwin & Scott, LLP in 2004. Goodwin took over the practice in 2009 upon his fathers retirement.
In addition to his services to the court, Goodwin is a board member of the West Texas Lighthouse for the Blind and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. He also served as the former president of the Tom Green County Bar Association. Goodwin is also an active member of the First United Methodist Church.
Goodwin is a registered Republican.
