Judge Robert G. Fegers - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Robert G. Fegers is a judge for the Polk County Court in the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida. He joined the bench in 2011.

Prior to beginning his judicial career, Fegers handled general civil litigation matters as an attorney in private practice (1983 to 2010). He supplemented his practice with service as a special magistrate, hearing officer, and arbitrator.

Fegers received a B.S. in finance and pre-law from Florida State University in 1979. He went on to complete a J.D. at South Texas College of Law Houston in 1983.

He was admitted to practice in Florida (1983); the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida; the United States District Court for the District of Colorado; the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Circuits; and the United States Supreme Court.
