The Hon. Robert B. Westbrook is a judge for the Stanislaus County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown in 2012. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. John G. Whiteside (Ret.).
He is a registered Democrat.
Judge Westbrook received his B.A. from Yale University. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 1999.
Westbrook joined the Stanislaus County Public Defender's Office in 2000. Two years later, he served as a deputy public defender for San Joaquin County. Then, in 2004, Westbrook rejoined the Stanislaus County Public Defender's Office, where he would remain until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2012.
While on the bench, Judge Westbrook has presided in the Criminal Department.
His wife, the Hon. Kellee C. Westbrook, was appointed to the Stanislaus County Superior Court by then-Governor Davis in 2017.
