The Hon. Robert B. Calagione (Ret.) served as First Justice of the Milford District Court in Massachusetts. Calagione was appointed to the bench by former Governor Mitt Romney in 2004. He retired in 2020.
Over the course of his judicial career, Calagione held assignments as an associate justice of the Westborough District Court (2001 to 2004). He was appointed to this post by former Governor Jane Swift.
Calagione earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in 1972. He then completed a J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 1976.
After graduating from law school, Calagione began his legal career as a sole practitioner in his own private practice. He worked in that capacity until 1979, at which time he became an associate at Davey & Davey. He then returned to his solo practice in 1981, where he spent the next seventeen years before becoming a clerk-magistrate for the East Brookfield District Court.
Calagione was born in Milford, Massachusetts.
