The Hon. Robert Anthony Fultz is a judge for the Tulare County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jerry Brown in 2015. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Paul A. Vortmann (Ret.).
He is a registered Democrat.
Judge Fultz graduated with his B.S. political science from Santa Clara University in 1986. He went on to earn his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1991.
Fultz joined the Tulare County District Attorney's Office as a deputy in 1993. Other than a brief stint in private practice from 2005 to 2006, Fultz would spend the bulk of his legal career prosecuting homicides with the Tulare County D.A.'s Office. During his tenure there he consistently rose through the ranks, from a deputy to supervising deputy district attorney, until reaching the D.A.'s second in command. Fultz served as the assistant district attorney from 2006 until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2015.
