The Hon. Raymond M. Cadei (Ret.) was a judge for the Sacramento County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2002 by former governor Gray Davis. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Faith Geoghegan (Ret.).

He began his legal career in private practice, becoming an associate at the Sacramento law firm of Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, and Gray in 1977. Four years later, Cadei would join Diepenbrock, Wulf, Plant, and Hannegan as an associate. When Diepenbrock et al. dissolved in 1998, Cadei was serving as a partner at the firm. He would then move on to help form the Sacramento law firm of Murphy Austin Adams Schenfeld LLP, where he practiced as a partner until his appointment to the Superior Court three years later. During his time in private practice, Cadei served as a civil litigator specializing in complex business, commercial, and insurance cases. He also represented clients in medical malpractice, intellectual property, and real estate disputes.
While on the bench, Cadei was assigned to the Law and Motions Department as well s the Civil Writs Department. He also served as a supervising judge for the Grand Jury for eight years beginning in 2004.
