Biography

The Hon. Peter J. Passidomo is a judge for the Family Court of the City of New York in Bronx County. He was appointed to the bench by former Mayor Michael Bloomberg in 2012.

Passidomo earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany in 1982. He then completed a J.D. at Fordham University School of Law in 1985.

After graduating from law school, Passidomo began his legal career as an attorney for IBM Corporation in 1985. He worked there for three years, eventually leaving to join the Family Court of the City of New York as a court attorney.

Passidomo continued to work for the Family Court of the City of New York for the remainder of his legal career, rising through the ranks to become a support magistrate (1992), a chief court attorney (1996), a chief magistrate (2003), and a chief clerk vii (2009).

He has served as the co-chair of the Family Court Advisory and Rules Committee.
