Biography

The Hon. Paul A. Delucchi is a judge for the Alameda County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2009. He filled the vacancy created by the elevation of the Hon. Kathleen Banke to the Court of Appeal.

He is a registered Republican.

Judge Delucchi received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to earn his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1995.

Delucchi began his legal career as a deputy district attorney for the Alameda County District Attorney's Office in 1996. He would remain with the D.A.'s office until his appointment to the bench in 2009.

Judge Delucchi is the son of the Hon. Alfred Delucchi (deceased), who also served as an Alameda County Superior Court judge. Prior to his appointment to the Superior Court in 1984, the elder Delucchi also served as an Alameda County district attorney. Judge Delucchi's father will be etched in history as the judge who presided over the high-profile murder trial of Scott Peterson.
