Judge Paul A. Damico - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

The Hon. Paul A. Damico is a judge for the Palm Beach County Court in Florida. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Jeb Bush in 2001.

Damico earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Florida State University in 1983. He then completed a J.D. at Florida State University College of Law in 1986. He is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.

After graduating from law school, Damico began his legal career as an assistant state attorney in the Office of the State Attorney for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. He served in that capacity until 1996, at which time he became an assistant public defender in the Office of the Public Defender for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit.

His memberships have included the Kiwanis Central (president).

Raised in North Palm Beach, Damico and his family attend Palm Beach Community Church. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children. Jennifer has worked as a construction project manager.
