The Hon. Patrick A. Moore is a judge for the Pasco County Court in Florida. He was elected to the bench on November 8, 2022.
Prior to his election, Moore was a senior assistant county attorney for the Pasco County Attorney’s Office, a position to which he was named in 2016. In that capacity, he litigated complex civil cases, prosecuted county ordinance violations, and advised the Pasco County commissioner on legal matters.
Moore earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology from the University of West Florida in 2007. He then completed a J.D. at Florida Coastal School of Law in 2010.
After graduating from law school, Moore began his legal career as an attorney at Schackow & Mercadante in Gainesville. He worked in that capacity until 2011, at which time he became an assistant state attorney in the Office of the State Attorney for the 6th Judicial Circuit. During his tenure there, he prosecuted cases ranging from misdemeanors to murders to crimes against children to robberies.
Moore has been involved with Pasco Take Stock of Children. He has also served as a legal adviser to the Pasco County Construction Board and the Animal Services Advisory Committee.
His election campaign for county judge received endorsements from the Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, the Florida Speaker of the House Chris Sprowls, and the Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano.
