The Hon. Michelle L. Verissimo is a commissioner for the Tulare County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench on January 15, 2021, filling a vacancy created by the elevation of the Hon. Ricky Tripp to a judgeship.
Prior to her appointment, Verissimo was a supervising deputy district attorney for the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office. During her tenure there, she prosecuted gang homicides, DUI deaths, and sexual assaults.
Verissimo earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from the University of Maryland. She then completed a J.D. at Southwestern Law School.
She and her husband, Mike, have one child.
