Judge Michelle L.H. Homier - Professional Background & Legal Expertise

Biography

Hon. Michelle L.H. Homier is a judge for the Cherokee County State Court in Georgia. She was elected to the bench in 2012.

Prior to her election, Homier was an assistant solicitor general with the Cherokee County Solicitor General’s Office.

She received a bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1999. Homier went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Georgia School of Law in 2003.

Her memberships have included the State Bar of Georgia, the Blue Ridge Circuit Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the National Association of Professional Women.

A Cherokee County native, Homier grew up in Woodstock and is a graduate of Sequoyah High School (1996). She and her husband, Tony, have three children.
