Hon. Michael J. Feeney is an associate judge for the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court. He was appointed to the bench by former Governor Gina Raimondo on May 10, 2016.
Prior to joining the bench, Feeney was a partner in the Warwick law firm of Jeffrey & Feeney, Attorneys at Law. He had worked in private practice since 1988. Feeney also spent time as the assistant town solicitor for East Greenwich.
In addition, he has taught as an adjunct professor at Roger Williams University.
He received a B.S. from Suffolk University. Feeney went on to complete a J.D. at New England Law. He was admitted to practice in Rhode Island in 1988.
Feeney has been involved with the Superior Court Pilot Program, which provides legal services to indigent individuals involved in criminal cases. He has also sat as a member of the Rhode Island Legal Education Foundation (Board of Directors Vice President) and the American Bar Association Advisory Committee.
Feeney is a graduate of Cranston High School West.
